Scalp Massages

You can also massage your scalp with some essential oils for a couple of minutes. Essential oils help to keep the hair follicles healthy. There have been a few studies in which men who received four minutes of scalp massage every day exhibited thicker hair than the ones who did not. This shows that scalp massages do benefit men who lose more hair.

Eating a balanced diet benefits the body in several types of ways. Interestingly it affects hair loss as well and contributes to its reduction. Including a variety of vegetables, fruits, unsaturated fats and proteins in your diet can help you to maintain healthy hair. You must also limit your intake of sweets if you are losing a lot of hair.

Apart from proteins, you must also incorporate some iron-rich fruits and vegetables in your diet. These include green leafy vegetables, lean beef, beans, etc. Experts say that foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as fatty fish, walnuts, flaxseeds also benefit in hair health. Hydration is also very essential for shiny hair. This is why you must drink plenty of water in a day to avoid hair loss.

There is ample evidence that alternative remedies, including essential oils, are also very beneficial in men who face hair loss. There is some evidence regarding peppermint oil helping to grow hair healthily. In traditional medicine, rosemary oil has also been used to increase blood circulation in the scalp.

You can also try some other oils such as coconut oil, castor oil and even olive oil to massage your scalp regularly for effective results against hair loss.

There are a few medications which are responsible for hair loss. Some of these medicines include blood thinners, heart medications, acne treatment medications, gout medications and even the drugs that are used to treat depression. Hair loss is quite common in people who have undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatments. But one must consult a qualified medical health practitioner to find out about any probable side effects that their medication has the potential to cause.

Smoking Habits

Apart from the deteriorating effect that smoking has on the other parts of the body, there have been a few studies which suggest connections between smoking and hair loss. Smoking is also responsible for premature greying of hair. This is why you must avoid smoking or plan to discontinue this habit if you are concerned about your hair loss.

Avoid Styling Instruments

One essential tip that everyone should follow is that you must always be gentle with your hair. Constant twisting, twirling or keeping your hair tied tightly could lead to significant hair loss issues. Instruments that are used to style the hair function at very high temperatures which makes the hair prone to breakage. As such, you must avoid using hot curling irons or straightening irons. Moreover, bleaching your hair or using specific hot oil treatments may also cause hair loss.

Garlic and Onion Juice

If you are up for some DIY hair masks, then garlic can be your solution. Or garlic hair mask is one of the best home remedies to manage hair fall. You simply have to extract the juice and apply it on your scalp using a cotton pad. You are supposed to keep the juice onto your hair overnight and wash the next day using a mild shampoo. Garlic juice corresponds to its anti-hair loss properties through zinc and calcium, which make the hair healthy.

Similarly, onion has antibacterial properties which have the potential to fight any infection on the scalp. Onion is also very rich in sulphur which stimulates the hair follicles and increases blood circulation in the scalp. You do not have to keep the onion juice onto your hair overnight. Applying the mask for 30 minutes, and washing it off will do the job. You have to use this mask only once a week.

As weird as it may sound, but hair loss is still one of the most common issues that men face. However, these remedies may undoubtedly help, and if not, one can also consider having a transplant.
