Causes of Chronic Tiredness

Do you feel tired all the time? Do you feel tired even if you've done nothing significant? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then this post is for you. Exhaustion is inevitable if you have done something that utilises energy. But even if you do not do the slightest form of chores and you still feel tired, then something must be wrong. In this text, we will take a look at some of the most common reasons for chronic tiredness.

Being tired will obviously deter you from being creative and productive. This is an adverse change in any individual's lifestyle since being less productive directly affects one's career. As such, the cause of your exhaustion should be known. Exhaustion may also affect the mood of an individual. When a person feels exhausted all the time, then he is more likely to become irritable and angry.

We will take a look at some of the most common causes of fatigue. However, refrain from taking any medicine if you relate to any of these causes. You must always consume medication after consulting with a medical health practitioner.

Lack Of Sleep

Not being able to sleep correctly or not being able to fall asleep at all is referred to as insomnia. Lack of sleep is one of the most prevalent causes of fatigue. It will definitely have a negative impact on your overall health and mood. The approximate time that a person should sleep for is eight hours. Anything less than that may make a person feel exhausted.

Sometimes an uncomfortable mattress may also cause discomfort. Make sure to buy a comfortable bed and a pillow for sleeping well. If you are not able to sleep then avoid the blue light from your tablets and smartphones before sleeping. To maintain darkness in your room by shutting the curtains. After doing all the changes that you are capable of, if you are still unable to sleep, then you might want to consider consulting to a psychiatrist.

Eating Habits

When your body does not have enough fuel, then you are bound to feel tired. Eating habits correspond to the most critical lifestyle issues that a lot of people face these days. What we eat and what we don't eat affects fatigue directly and indirectly. Not eating nutritious food can also cause fatigue. If you like to eat foods which increase the blood sugar, then you might feel fatigued as soon as these sugars drop in the body.

Therefore, eating a balanced diet is recommended. Make sure to eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. You must also avoid eating junk foods because these are very rich in sugar and fats.

Anaemia is one of the most common causes of fatigue in women. Anaemia is nothing but the deficiency of iron in the blood. Iron is the main component of the red blood cells in the body. These cells carry oxygen throughout the body. Since the amount of iron is less, the body will not be able to get enough oxygen. As such, a person feels tired. Women who experience heavy menstrual periods are at a higher risk of iron deficiency anaemia.

You can increase your iron intake by eating iron-rich foods which include tofu, potatoes, broccoli, nuts, brown rice, etc. In case you are looking for a proper dosage of supplements, make sure to contact your family doctor.

Depression is also one of the most common causes of chronic tiredness. A person in depression feels exhausted all the time. Depression might be a mental health issue, but it causes physical symptoms, including insomnia and fatigue. If you have been diagnosed with depression, then make sure to take your medicines regularly. In case you still don't know anything about your mental health status, it will be best to consult a psychiatrist.

If you feel tired all the time, then the chances are that you have been high on your caffeine intake. Several people drink a lot of coffee to help them perk up their productivity. When one takes caffeine in moderation, alertness and energy get increased. Too much of caffeine is responsible for an increased heart rate, high blood pressure and even insomnia. After the effect of the caffeine wears off, a person feels exhausted.

However, ultimately giving up caffeine suddenly will make you experience specific withdrawal symptoms. Therefore, you need to begin slowly. You can start by drinking more and more water and reduce the cup of coffees accordingly.

Lack of water is also one of the most probable sources behind your chronic tiredness. By the time an individual begins to feel thirsty, he might already be dehydrated. In case you haven't been able to catch up on your water intake, it is best to make a hydration chart in your planner or your mobile phone. Water is the best beverage to hydrate you since it is free of any additives. One must make sure to drink about eight glasses of water per day. However, if your work or lifestyle requires you to exercise or move to places a lot, then you need to increase your per day water intake.
